Guess Who Opened Her Eyes?! That's right...Kennedy was able to open her eyes today! What a beautiful sight! She had a blood culture which came back positive yesterday for an infection; therefore, she has started on two different antibiotics. The good news is that it was caught early. Prayers requested for the antibiotics to be able to eliminate the infection. She is up in her weight also to 1# 14oz! She'll be 2# before we know it. Her blood tests came back this morning looking really good on all of her levels.
Drake is doing really well. His morning blood tests came back with a good report too. He is weighing in today at 2# 1.9oz. That's our boy!
The doctor said that he is extremely pleased that they are both doing so well with nutrition. They have both been moved up to 6cc every 3 hours and they seem to be tolerating this very well. Both are able to digest, which is wonderful in a micro preemie.
